Powdertech Surface Science exhibiting and speaking at the Battery Tech Expo, 2025!
Powdertech will be exhibiting its expertise in dielectric coating and pre-treatment of aluminium in EV applications at the Battery Tech Expo, 2025!
Powdertech’s Technical Manager, Dr. Nick Welton, an expert in commercial aluminium surface treatment, will be delivering a seminar. The talk, titled ‘Dielectric powder coating from busbars to battery enclosures—evolving an established technology,’ will draw on Nick’s extensive experience in delivering successful dielectric coating projects for major OEMs.
The presentation will take place at 2:00 pm, in hall 2, during day two of the two-day event.

Over recent years, Powdertech has worked on several dielectric coating projects, gaining extensive commercial experience in designing, developing, and validating dielectric coating systems that work to solve critical insulation challenges for aluminium in EVs.
At Battery Tech Expo, Powdertech will demonstrate how to identify the risk factors that can delay or derail your dielectric coating project and how to mitigate them.
Nick said: “Dielectric power coating is an established technology that has worked on copper busbars since the 1960s. Applying this technology to much thinner aluminium components for battery enclosures is a relatively new challenge.
“This talk will explore what we have learned about how coating processes need to be tweaked to ensure successful project delivery.”
Visit stand B44, on 26th March and 27th March at the International Conference & Exhibition Centre Silverstone.
