Paneltex strengthens Yorkshire manufacturing ties with Made in Yorkshire membership
Hull, UK – Paneltex is pleased to announce that we have joined Made in Yorkshire, the region’s leading manufacturing network.
Established in 1991 in Kingston upon Hull, Paneltex has grown from a manufacturer of insulated panels into a global leader in temperature-controlled vehicle body building and cold chain solutions. Today, we employ over 570 people across six specialised UK facilities, with a total factory footprint of more than 100,000 m² and an annual turnover of over £75 million.
We produce many hundreds of refrigerated vehicle bodies, portable cold storage units and vehicle body kits each year, supporting customers across the UK, Europe and North America. Our fully integrated manufacturing approach allows us to oversee the entire build process in-house, from design engineering and panel production through to final assembly, fit-out and ongoing aftercare.
This level of control enables us to deliver consistent quality while working closely with customers to develop bespoke solutions that improve operational efficiency and long-term performance.
Joining Made in Yorkshire reflects our commitment to staying closely connected to the regional manufacturing community. As a Yorkshire-founded business, we see real value in collaboration and shared insight, while also creating opportunities for our team to bring fresh ideas into the business by learning how other manufacturers are innovating, tackling challenges and driving operational excellence.
As part of The Reefer Group, we also bring a wider international perspective, combining strong local heritage with global capability in temperature-controlled transport and storage.
We look forward to building strong relationships within the network and contributing to initiatives that support innovation and long-term growth across the sector.
