Leading Electric Vehicle Manufacturer Joins MIM

The London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC), the first dedicated EV production site in the UK, has joined the Made in the Midlands (MIM) community. As a Midlands based business, with a 37,000sq m facility at Ansty in Coventry, LEVC has joined the group to attract talent from the local area and support the Midlands business community.

LEVC operates on a global footprint manufacturing the iconic black taxi cab and award winning VN5 van. Established in 1908, with heritage that  started in the professional taxi trade, LEVC has grown to be a leading electric vehicle company, and is backed by Geely Automotive Group.

“Enriched with the knowledge from our past, we continue to innovate with purposeful engineering at the heart of all our vehicles, as we transition to become the leading European green commercial mobility solutions provider.”

The company has joined MIM, a trade association championing British industry, to support the Midlands economy and gain the opportunity to connect with local businesses.

MIM offers its members the chance to learn best practices from other leading companies, get expert advice from various patrons, recruit talent and elevate their companies' online presence in the manufacturing and engineering sector. LEVC hopes to be part of this, they will also discover how they can support the ecological environment more, such as gaining new talent and suppliers to support the next generation.

Katherine Latham, Chief Financial Officer at LEVC, said: “We are looking forward to connecting and networking with local manufacturing leaders to share and learn best practice as well as discover talent in the area.

Members can look forward to our passion for industry and insight into an electric vehicle company with LEVC being part of the Made community.”
