Airmaster Apprentice Shortlisted for Prestigious Make UK Award

Airmaster Air Conditioning Ltd

Airmaster is proud to announce that Design Apprentice Max Brough has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year – Rising Star at the Make UK Manufacturing Awards 2025 for the North East, Yorkshire and Humber region.

The Make UK Manufacturing Awards celebrate the next generation of talent shaping the future of UK industry. Max’s shortlisting recognises his exceptional commitment, technical ability, and dedication to both his personal development and the success of his team at Airmaster.

Since joining the company, Max has played a key role in the design and delivery of HVAC systems for a wide range of projects, including commercial retrofits and complex office developments. Alongside his work, he has completed a Level 4 apprenticeship and is now studying for Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at  University Centre Rotherham, continuing to strengthen his technical expertise while gaining valuable industry experience.

Speaking about the nomination, Max said:
“I’m honoured to be shortlisted for this award. For me, an apprenticeship was the best way to gain hands-on experience while building my qualifications. I’m proud to contribute to Airmaster’s projects and grateful for the support of my colleagues as I continue to grow in my career.”

Airmaster Design Engineer Sam Casadei, who has supported Max throughout his apprenticeship, added:
“Max’s enthusiasm, initiative, and work ethic make him an invaluable member of the team. He consistently goes above and beyond, and it’s fantastic to see his efforts recognised at such a high level.”

The winners will be announced at the Make UK Manufacturing Awards North East, Yorkshire & Humberside Dinner on Thursday 16th October 2025 in Harrogate, with regional winners progressing to the national finals later in the year.
