Agemaspark Shortlisted for Prestigious Make UK Manufacturing Impact Award
Doncaster-based precision engineering specialist Agemaspark has been shortlisted for the Manufacturing Impact Award at the Make UK Manufacturing Regional Awards for the North East, Yorkshire and Humber region. The winners will be announced at a celebratory dinner on Thursday 16th October in Harrogate.
The Manufacturing Impact Award recognises businesses that make a real difference to their communities and the wider manufacturing sector. Agemaspark’s nomination reflects its long-standing commitment to tackling the engineering skills gap and investing in the next generation of talent.
For more than a decade, Agemaspark has forged strong partnerships with schools, Doncaster University Technical College, and the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre to inspire young people and provide meaningful opportunities. The company’s Managing Director, Paul Stockhill, has been instrumental in these initiatives, helping young people gain hands-on experience, industry insight, and clear pathways into careers in advanced manufacturing.
Today, 11 of Agemaspark’s 16 employees are under 33 and apprentice-trained, with many progressing into senior or supervisory positions. The company’s innovative approach to skills development has been recognised nationally, including a lifetime achievement award for Paul Stockhill at the 2023 Doncaster Chamber Business Awards and a visit from HRH The Princess Royal in 2024.
Speaking about the shortlist, Managing Director Paul Stockhill said:
“We’re proud to be recognised for the positive impact Agemaspark has made in building a pipeline of skilled engineers. For us, this is about more than business – it’s about shaping futures, supporting our community, and ensuring UK manufacturing continues to thrive.”
The Make UK Manufacturing Regional Awards celebrate the very best in UK manufacturing, recognising innovation, leadership, and contribution to society. Winners from the regional awards will go on to represent the North East, Yorkshire and Humber at the national finals in early 2026.
Winners will be announced at the North East, Yorkshire & Humberside regional dinner on Thursday 16 October at the DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
