Agemaspark Shortlisted for Engineering Manufacturer of the Year at Made in Yorkshire Awards 2026

Agemaspark Ltd

Doncaster-based precision engineering specialist Agemaspark Ltd has been shortlisted for Engineering Manufacturer of the Year at the prestigious Made in Yorkshire Awards 2026, organised by Insider Media.

The awards celebrate excellence in manufacturing across the region, recognising businesses that demonstrate outstanding innovation, investment, performance and impact within Yorkshire’s industrial economy. The 2026 ceremony to be held on Thursday 5th March 2026 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds will bring together leading manufacturers from across the county to showcase achievement and sector leadership.

Founded in 2002, Agemaspark operates from its advanced manufacturing facility in Doncaster, delivering complex, high-performance components and tooling for safety-critical sectors including aerospace, nuclear, defence, power generation and advanced manufacturing. The company combines precision CNC machining, spark and wire erosion, 5-axis milling and grinding with advanced metal additive manufacturing to provide innovative, customer-led engineering solutions.

Over the past 12 months, Agemaspark has shown strong profitability following targeted investment in upgrading CMM capability, CNC milling capability and leadership development, demonstrating clear progression pathways. Two former apprentices, Paul Preskey and Sam Buxton, who joined the company nearly 20 years ago, now serve as joint Workshop Managers. In 2025, both achieved Distinction grades in their Level 5 Leadership Apprenticeships, with Paul Preskey also gaining the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership.

The business has delivered industry-changing innovation, including a collaborative aerospace project that reduced engine repair production times by up to 60%, and a National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme (NATAP) initiative to develop a distortion-free laser hardening process for Boeing aircraft components.

Alongside technological investment, Agemaspark continues to prioritise long-term talent development, working closely with local schools, Doncaster UTC and the AMRC Training Centre to strengthen the regional engineering pipeline.

Paul Stockhill, Managing Director of Agemaspark, said:

“To be shortlisted for Engineering Manufacturer of the Year is fantastic recognition for our entire team. Over the past year, we have focused on investing in the right technologies, strengthening our in-house capability and continuing to develop our people.

“We are proud to represent Doncaster and Yorkshire manufacturing on this stage. Our aim has always been to combine world-class precision with practical innovation, delivering measurable results for customers operating in some of the most demanding industries in the world.”

The Engineering Manufacturer of the Year category celebrates companies producing high-performance engineered products and demonstrating excellence in resilience, innovation and operational performance.
